For her post doctoral research at CES-IISc she examined the extent and patterns of distribution of genetic diversity within the Ranid family of the Western Ghats. She continues to elucidate problems in taxonomy, systematics and delimitation of the species, and is attempting to define the altitudinal and latitudinal range of distribution for ranids and other frogs.
Chetan Suresh Rao
Junior Program Officer, Dakshin Foundation
Chetan is a wildlife biologist with an interest in ecology and evolutionary biology of reptiles.
His research interests are to explore and understand sea snakes better.
Nupur Kale
Project Associate, WCS-India
Nupur is interested in sea turtle biology and conservation. She has worked on olive ridley and green sea turtle research and conservation in India, Sri Lanka and Costa Rica.
She spends few months of every year enjoying the beauty of the Lakshadweep islands.
Bharat S Ahuja
PhD Student, CES, Indian Institute of Science
Bharath is interested in community ecology and how animals respond to anthropogenic stressors in their environments.
He is all prepared to dive into deeper waters where he hopes to understand the mechanisms that initiate the formation of mixed species groups in reef fish.
